A garage full of only cars and bikes is boring, we need more variety.

So, here’s the rules.

Each vehicle must have a different number of wheels, from zero to infinity.

All vehicles must be motor vehicles intended for land-based operation as a primary mode of operation. (As an example, flying cars are OK, as being a land vehicle is a primary mode of operation. Airplanes are not, as being a land vehicle is not a primary mode of operation.)

Wheels must remain in contact with the ground and attached to the vehicle at all times during normal land-based operation to be counted. Trailers don’t count toward your wheel count (unless they’re permanently coupled, like articulating buses), and landing gear that are retractable on land (ala the Monotracer enclosed motorcycle) and lift axles (ala dump trucks) don’t count toward your wheel count.

If you have four wheels on an axle, only two count, even if you’ve picked a Ferrari 312T6. Basically, dually pickups count as 4-wheelers, and most semis count as 6-wheelers. However, if you have three or less, or five or more, wheels on an axle, all of them count.

To make this harder, if you pick a three-wheeler, you must pick at least one vehicle with less than two or more than four wheels. (This means you can’t have a motorcycle, a three-wheeler, and something normal. Either the motorcycle or the something normal has to be replaced with something oddball.)

If you pick a BD-200, Autocycle, LiteStar, or Pulse, it counts as both 2 and 3 wheels (even though only two of the wheels are in contact with the ground at all times, there’s always a third wheel in contact), and you also cannot pick a 4 wheeler as either of your other vehicles due to rule #5.

My own entry:

Hägglunds Bandvagn 206, zero wheels (you might say it has ten, but they’re not touching the ground, the tracks are - and I want the trailer, too, even though its zero wheels don’t count towards my total of zero wheels):

Kinja'd!!!

Morgan Three-Wheeler, three wheels:

Volkswagen L1, four wheels:

Three cars, not five. At three, one of the bike, the T-Rex, and the Integra has to go. (Or, really, two of them - the Tyrrell and the F-150 are cooler.)

A tank’s road wheel is a wheel. It’s right there in the name :p

Ok, I’m going to pick a three wheeler because this rule sounds like a challenge.

This Morgan 3 Wheeler to be exact.

Kinja'd!!!

Now this Citroën CX Loadrunner has more than four wheels.

Kinja'd!!!

While this NSU Kettenkrad technically has one so… what do I win?

Well played. You could’ve had one vehicle with either 2 or 4 wheels, but you just went all the way straight into insanity.

Next I’ll have just a run-of-the-mill XM, one of the best and most overlooked big Cits. (post-facelift estate, of course; those are the reliable ones)

And, for my last Citroen, the mighty ten-wheeled Michelin PLR, converted from tire-testing duty to the world’s greatest motorhome!
